The Five Most Important Emotions As Full Grown Characters!ДЁ. By preventing Riley from feeling sad, Joy too was keeping her from feeling happiness. SadnessвЂ™s was an important emotion too since it was to induce empathy in others, thus coaxing them to look out for Riley when sheвЂ™s emotionally unstable and is in need to sheer external help.
